ONE LESS PICKET LINE

The Federation of Catholic Teachers, the larger of the two New York teacher's unions planning to strike during the papal visit, has called off their strike after two days of picketing, saying that progress has now been made in the negotiations with the Archdiocese of New York. The Lay Faculty Association representing 450 teachers is still planning to strike.
