BUGABOO

David Kuo at Beliefnet debates the merits of an $800 stroller weighed against the statistics on world poverty, and manages by the end of the column to just about convince himself that $800 for a blue-chip stroller is acceptable even if it means that he spends more money on that piece of baby equipment than any one of the 3 billion people who are living in poverty have to spend on their needs for an entire year.

Sort of explains how the phrase "Ugly American" got to be so popular. We are talking serious discrepancies here.
